Sex, Drugs & Rock’n'Roll.

“Sex, Drugs & Rock’n'roll” is a song and single by Ian Dury, an English rock and roll singer, lyricist, bandleader( Ian Dury and the Blockheads, who were one of the groups of the New Wave and Punk music era in the UK) and actor, who initially rose to fame during the late 1970′s. The single won critical acclaim. I’m not a big fan of the song, but somehow become a punk anthem.
But today I wanna to talk about something else. It’s called “Sex, Drugs & Rock’n'Roll”. Normally. But it’s about the movie. A biopic drama of a singer mentioned above, Ian Dury played by Andy Serkis, hit by a merciless diseas (polio), who makes superhuman efforts to be recognized and noticed in the world of music. A scene in which Dury revisits the hospital where he spent his childhood, coming face to face with a new generation of angry young outcasts, is quietly heartbreaking.
I didn’t feel anything desperate about this movie however, if you can’t go eccentric about a crippled rocker who was simply a genius on stage & as portrayed in this movie off stage, with his great poetic tongue, then when can you? Lovely. Give movie a chance! At least trailer.
